| It's a beautiful cycle: Leafless vines dash across the sky like a charcoal line on fine paper. Soon new shoots will rise from the fruit wire, followed closely by the grapes we'll worry about for months. A sleepless, but romantic couple of weeks bring a cathartic finish to the season. The hand-harvested grapes are sorted, weighed, and crushed, some placed in new french oak, others wait in a tank for fermentation. The wines will reappear when we're older, wiser, and in need of a dinner companion. It's a beautiful cycle. |
