Technical Notes
With each vintage we try to put several cases aside for posterity, or more honestly, for a couple years from now so we can see how they're developing. Re-visiting these wines is tremendous fun, and now you too will have that option.
Roanoke's library wines can be tasted at a Library Tasting conducted by our own Adam Ehmer. Library tastings are held in our lovely, and very private Tasting House, located in the Sound Avenue vineyard. Adam will pour and discuss three great Roanoke library wines, and illustrate how they relate to a current release. The four wines will be served with an elegant baguette and cheese platter to cleanse your palate. $35 per person. Exclusively for groups from 4 to 15 people. Reservations required.

Tasting Notes
Just as memories are enhanced by the passage of time, great wines too benefit from a few trips around the sun. Proper aging requires three things: pristine fruit on the crush pad, a winemaker with experience, confidence, and a state-of-the-art cellar, and lastly, a climate controlled storage facility. A Roanoke wine will go the distance for you, and in 2040 we know you'll be able to open a well aged Roanoke Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, or one of our exquisite blends, and have an out-of-body experience. We make ethereal wines just for you.
