Tasting Notes
Our Sound Avenue Cabernet Franc vineyard was planted in 2000, and although relatively young, this block of vines has illustrated it is capable of greatness. One very unique characteristic of the Roanoke Vineyards Cab Franc is an extremely smooth finish that complements the big black cherry flavors that drive this wine. We credit the hot summer for the seemingly caramelized tannins that will make you think this is a much older wine. Great structure, elegant, and wonderfully versatile when it comes to food pairings. This wine is great now, and will be a true landmark in 2016 (hide a case or two from yourself!).
