Red Wines
- 2005 Blend One
-
- 52% Malbec, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 17% Merlot. This wine evidences a deep, dark hue that is wrapped in swaths of black ink and highlighted with beads of garnet. The aromatics are equally complex, ripe, and rich, calling up strains of plum, blackberry, and dried prune. The mouthfeel is juicy, resinous, and intertwines complementary lines of bright cherry and potent leather with garnishes of crisp Thai basil, sweet garden herbs, and even a hint of chocolate chip mint ice cream. Complex and intense, this wine is an excellent pair for lamb, steak, and duck, or earthy vegetable-based dishes incorporating smoked eggplant or grilled mushrooms. Drink now or cellar for optimum aging potential.
- 2005 Cabernet Franc
-
- 87.5% Cabernet Franc, 9.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Merlot. The result of an incredible vintage for this varietal, this beautiful red brick and cranberry-colored Cabernet Franc showcases tremendously complex aromatics; black cherry, cocoa powder, briar and autumnal forest notes, and more. The exceptionally balanced structure juxtaposes bright blueberry and sweet cranberry with bittersweet dark chocolate and traces of licorice to create a cross-palate spread of silky tannins and food-friendly acidity. Will pair well with rich pasta dishes, game, and beef, as well as nuts and blue-veined cheeses. Enjoy now or cellar for optimum aging potential.
- 2004 Merlot (***Sold Out!***)

A finessed balance of fruit and spice is the key to this wine's wide and savory sense aesthetic; for every hint of plum...
- 2004 Blend One
-
- The new vintage of Roanoke’s Blend One features another unique varietal composition; 43% Cabernet Franc, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 33% Merlot. The nose, at first pour, comes alive with an almost ice-and-crushed-fresh-mint vibrancy, which then gently gives way to a fruit profile strong on red plum and Bing cherry. Over all this hovers the unmistakable dusk and dust of fresh chocolate chips. As the wine breathes, it begins to show nothing less than...
