Roanoke Vineyards 2007 Marco Tulio (sold out): The first release from the much-heralded 2007 vintage. You can taste the summer sunlight in this wine. The blending of the Cab Sauvignon and the Cab Franc delivers lush fruit, great structure, and a lovely complexity.

2007 Roanoke Vineyards Cabernet Franc: 87.5% Cabernet Franc, 9.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Merlot. The result of an incredible vintage for this varietal, this beautiful red brick and cranberry-colored Cabernet Franc showcases tremendously complex aromatics; black cherry, cocoa powder, briar and autumnal forest notes, and more. The exceptionally balanced structure juxtaposes bright blueberry and sweet cranberry with bittersweet dark chocolate and traces of licorice to create a cross-palate spread of silky tannins and food-friendly acidity. Will pair well with rich pasta dishes, game, and beef, as well as nuts and blue-veined cheeses. Enjoy now or cellar for optimum aging potential.
