Roanoke Vineyards

Our 2010 barrel tasting and futures offering was held Sunday, January 29th, and we had a full house in the cellar! The wine list for this event was absolutely stellar, beginning with our new 2011 Chardonnay The Wild!, and ending with a new wine entitled The Hill. Tasting young wines from the barrel is especially exciting as it provides both a look ahead to where these wines are going, and a look back to the weather and vineyard practices from that vintage. 2010 delivered great fruit, and we made ten beautiful wines.

This was the first opportunity for anyone outside the staff to taste the 2010 BOND. The result was a run on the store, with all of the allotted futures wine being sold. BOND will debut in a summer season 2012 wine club shipment, and case reservations are now being accepted.
