The Vineyard

At Roanoke, we treat the vineyard as the living, breathing entity that it is, never subjecting it to the disharmonizing touch of aggressive mechanics or inappropriate chemicals. We encourage practices with low environmental impact that maintain or improve soil, and help us become better stewards of the land. We trust our vines and grapes, and as best as we're able allow them to take their natural course to optimum ripeness and character. We firmly believe that making wine is one of the great examples of humanity and nature in harmony; that great wine is the delectable result of an elegant integration of agriculture, science, and art.
